RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
In consideration of my attendance at the 2025 ICA Annual Education Conference (the “Event”), I hereby acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I hereby voluntarily and knowingly accept the risks, both known and unknown, foreseeable and not foreseeable, and assume all responsibility for actions taken while at the Event. I understand that my participation at the Event constitutes a dangerous activity and that certain inherent risks and dangers exist in connection with participating at the Event. By attending the Event, I certify that I am aware of all risks and dangers applicable to me. I hereby consent to and agree that I participate at the Event at my own risk and further understand that I assume all risks in connection with the same.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY & COVENANT NOT TO SUE
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, personal representatives, administrators, and next of kin, hereby forever release, hold harmless, discharge, and covenant not to sue International Claim Association (ICA), all of its officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, and volunteers (hereinafter collectively known as the “Releasees”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, either in law or equity, arising out of, or related to, any and all bodily injury, disability, death, or loss of, or damage to, person or property, whether arising from the negligence of any of the Releasees or otherwise, as a result of my participation at the Event.
CONSENT TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL ATTENTION
I hereby consent to emergency medical treatment if I am injured while participating at the Event and accept full responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of my participation at the Event.
CHOICE OF LAW
I understand and agree that the laws of the District of Columbia govern this Release and Waiver of Liability regardless of conflict of laws principles.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL PROVISIONS OF THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND FREELY AND KNOWINGLY ASSUME THE RISK AND WAIVE MY RIGHTS AS STATED HEREIN.
